At Envisage Dental TV, we proudly support Mouth Cancer Action Month, a campaign by the Oral Health Foundation. This initiative raises awareness of one of the most common yet preventable cancers. Every year, thousands of people face mouth cancer. Early detection saves lives, so sharing vital information in dental waiting rooms is essential.
Why Mouth Cancer Awareness Matters
The campaign educates the public about signs, symptoms, and risk factors. Many people do not realise that persistent ulcers, lumps, or red and white patches can signal mouth cancer. Therefore, we aim to encourage regular self-checks and prompt visits to dental professionals when concerns arise.
Our Collaboration with the Oral Health Foundation
We work closely with the Oral Health Foundation to spread this message. As part of our commitment, we deploy their mouth cancer awareness videos across waiting room TVs in dental practices. These videos deliver clear guidance and highlight the importance of early detection. As a result, patients receive crucial information in a setting where oral health is already a priority.
Sophie Turner, Digital Content Creator for the Oral Health Foundation, shared:
“The Oral Health Foundation are so pleased to be able to share the video content with Numed Healthcare so it can be deployed across the thousands of waiting room TVs supported by Envisage in general practice and Envisage Dental TV. Checking for mouth cancer only takes a minute, and we know that early detection vastly improves outlook, so the more people we can help learn about early detection the better.”
Together, we can make a real difference. By raising awareness and encouraging early action, we reduce the impact of mouth cancer and save lives. Supporting this campaign is not just about sharing information—it is about prevention, protection, and care.
